MANILA, Philippines — Several major roads in Manila will be closed beginning 1 a.m. Sunday, September 20, for the Air Run 2026, the Manila Public Information Office (PIO) said Saturday.
The closures will affect portions of Roxas Boulevard, Katigbak Drive, South Drive, Independence Road, P. Burgos Avenue, Finance Road, T.M. Kalaw Avenue and President Quirino Avenue.
The affected portions include the northbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from President Quirino Avenue to P. Burgos Avenue and the southbound lane from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo Street.
Also closed will be stretches of Katigbak Drive, South Drive and Independence Road, as well as the westbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue from Victoria Street to Finance Road.
The westbound lanes of Finance Road from Taft Avenue, T.M. Kalaw Avenue from M.H. Del Pilar Street to Roxas Boulevard, and President Quirino Avenue from M.H. Del Pilar Street to Roxas Boulevard will also be affected.
The Manila PIO advised motorists to plan their trips and take alternative routes to avoid delays.
The Air Run 2026 will be held Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand.
