On the eighth day of their indefinite strike over pending demands, members of the Sewa Kendra Employees’ Union staged a dharna outside the District Administrative Complex (DAC) on Tuesday.

Sewa Kendra employees from across the district participated in the protest, led by union district president Gursewak Singh Lalughuman, block president Nirvair Singh, media adviser Jagpreet Singh, and other office-bearers.

Union leaders alleged that the Punjab Government’s claim of regularising 65,000 employees was misleading, stating that Sewa Kendra employees had not been included in any such list.

They warned that if their demands were not accepted, they would be compelled to intensify their agitation.
