Shanaya of Saupin’s School, Panchkula, posted a 11-5, 11-4, 11-7 win over Myra of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, to win the girls’ U-11 category gold medal during the UT 1st Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Championship at the Sector 23 TT hall. In the semifinals, Myra defeated Aavya 11-3, 11-1, 11-0, while Shanaya blanked Irene 11-4, 11-8, 11-9.

Myra had won her quarterfinal by defeating Khushneet 11-6, 11-3, 11-3, while Aavya outplayed Anaya 11-5, 11-9, 11-8. Shanaya posted 41-12, 11-4, 11-8 win over Mishita, and Irene defeated Shambhavi 11-3, 11-6, 14-12.

Aadvik Thakur of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, defeated Yatharth Rajoo of Manav Mangal Smart School, Zirakpur, with a 15-13, 6-11, 11-4, 11-9 verdict to bag the boys’ U-11 title. In the semis, Rajoo defeated Tripat 11-7, 11-4, 11-2 and Thakur ousted Hargun Singh 11-4, 13-11, 6-11, 11-5. In the quarterfinals, Tripat defeated Nivaan Saini 11-3, 11-2, 11-4, Rajoo recorded an 11-5, 11-5, 11-1 win over Evan Gupta, Hargun Singh posted a comeback 9-11, 11-2, 12-10, 11-6 win over Kevyan Singh and Thakur defeated Ruhaan Saini 11-7, 11-8, 11-2.

Divit Bansal of Gurukul Global, Manimajra, won the boys’ U-13 final by defeating Rayaan of Manav Mangal Smart School, Phase 10, Mohali. Bansal logged an easy 11-4, 11-5, 12-10 win for bagging the gold medal. Bansal earlier defeated Kevyan Bansal 11-5, 11-4, 11-5, while Rayaan defeated Ojas Gollen 11-7, 11-7, 12-10 to set up the title clash.

In quarterfinal, Bansal returned from a game down to defeat Akshat 8-11, 11-3, 11-8, 20-18, while Bansal also logged a marginal 7-11, 10-12, 11-6, 12-10, 11-5 win over Madhavan. Rayaan defeated Aadvik Thakur 11-8, 11-6, 11-9 and Gullen stunned Krishan 11-2, 11-3, 11-5.

Priyanshi of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, won the girls’ U-13 final by defeating Tisha of Sacred Heart, Sector 26. She posted 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 win in the final. In the semis, Priyanshi overpowered a tough challenge by Avni Gupta 3-11, 11-6, 11-5, 14-12 and Tisha defeated Mishita 11-8, 9-11, 11-3, 11-4. In the quarterfinals, Avni Gupta had defeated Irene 11-6, 11-5, 11-4, Priyanshi outplayed Mihika Mahajan 12-10, 11-6, 11-6, Tisha ousted Idhika Bansal 15-13, 11-9, 10-12, 9-11, 11-6 and Mishita defeated Harmeet Kaur 11-7, 11-5, 5-11, 11-6.
