Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) will recognise developers from across Sabah at its annual Shareda Nite 2026 on Oct 31.
Its president Datuk Johnny Wong Chen Yee said nine recipients would be recognised under the Shareda Nite Excellence Awards, covering five divisions: West Coast, Kudat, Interior, Sandakan and Tawau.
He said the initiative aimed to recognise projects for their quality, integrity and contributions to local communities, regardless of size, while encouraging developers outside Kota Kinabalu to join the association.
Johnny said Shareda had spent about a year engaging developers outside the state capital and would raise their concerns over development challenges and approval procedures with the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.
The event, themed “Foundation of Excellence”, will be held at the Magellan Grand Ballroom, Sutera Harbour Resort, and will feature a live band, a comedy segment by Harith Iskandar and lucky draw prizes worth more than RM100,000, while its corporate social responsibility initiative will support Kinabalu Pink Ribbon.
