Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom admits they haven't lived up to their own expectations.
Heckingbottom was speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Fulham.
He said, "It was really clear against West Ham what we did well and what we needed to be better at so that's been the focus this week - attack as a team, defend as a team.
"It was a good game for us to get a real, strong message out of - we know Fulham away is a tough game but we want the points.
"You have to be wary of results because that's what puts you under pressure but it's a lot deeper than that. We've had to do a lot of work this summer and we continue to do that - and we are nowhere near where we want to be, we know that and I understand that.
"We've had to work so hard to get here but we want to stay here so we will continue to work hard."
