Kota Kinabalu: Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) celebrated Sabah Day with a special luncheon and community tamu showcasing local food, culture and entrepreneurship.
The celebration, themed “A Taste of Tradition, A Celebration of Sabah”, also provided a platform for local entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their products.
SICC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Rosmawati Lasuki said Sabah’s diverse cultures, languages, traditions, local produce and creativity shaped the State’s unique identity.
She said the tamu gave farmers, fishermen, artisans, small and medium enterprises and local entrepreneurs opportunities to promote their products and reach wider markets.
Rosmawati said supporting local products helped strengthen businesses, generate income and sustain the skills and creativity of Sabah’s communities.
