In an unprecedented fusion of haute couture and automotive engineering, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has partnered with California-based boutique restorer Singer Vehicle Design to create a pair of bespoke Porsche 911 restorations. Unveiled during Monterey Car Week, the ambitious collaboration marks the first co-branded project in the history of both iconic houses.
What began as a simple request for a custom dashboard clock from Louis Vuitton’s watchmaker La Fabrique du Temps quickly expanded into a complete redesign of two air-cooled 964-era vehicles. The heart of the project remains a fully detachable, mechanical Tambour dashboard timepiece that seamlessly converts into a desk clock. Surrounding it, the entire cockpit and exterior have been infused with Louis Vuitton’s distinctive “Art of Travel” philosophy.
The first vehicle, a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, features a lightweight carbon-fiber coupé body finished in archival saffron with cobalt blue and yellow accents. Fitted with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, it includes a tailored roof rack for bespoke luggage, skis, or a surfboard. The second creation, a Classic Turbo cabriolet designed alongside Nicolas Ghesquière, is finished in Calcaire Lutétien white with rich Cognac leather and precious wood interior trim.
Every detail of the Louis Vuitton Singer reflects meticulous craftsmanship. The cabins feature natural VVT-inspired leather, monogram-embossed seating, and hand-finished rhodium-plated switchgear crafted using fine watchmaking techniques. Even functional engine components and customized keys showcase LV-inspired typography. Accompanied by custom travel capsules and luggage, these one-of-a-kind builds elevate motoring into an art form.
