Louis Vuitton has officially announced its role as an Official Supplier and Branded Licensee for the FIFA World Cup 2026, continuing a landmark partnership that began in 2010. To celebrate, the French luxury fashion house has designed a new, bespoke Trophy Trunk to transport and showcase football’s most coveted prize safely.
Handcrafted by artisans in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières-sur-Seine workshops near Paris, the 2026 Trophy Trunk is wrapped in the Maison’s signature Monogram canvas. Its exterior features two prominent front panels hand-painted with a golden “V” representing both “Victory” and “Vuitton.” The design is finished with classic leather trim (“lozines”), gold-plated brass corner protectors, and historic locks and clasps dating back to the 1860s. The interior is lined with light beige leather and features an official collaboration patch inside the lid.
The Trophy Trunk will make its official debut on the pitch during the World Cup Final, delivered by Louis Vuitton Ambassadors and a FIFA legend. Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, noted that the trunk continues a legacy of celebrating “football’s greatest achievement.” FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, added that bringing the trophy onto the pitch in a Louis Vuitton trunk beautifully connects sporting tradition with modern prestige.
In tandem with the main reveal, Louis Vuitton is releasing a highly exclusive, limited-edition capsule of three trunks inspired by the World Cup design: the Coffret 8 Montres (a watch case), the Cotteville 16 Montres, and the Malle Courrier Lozine 110. Each piece is adorned with the hand-painted FIFA trophy, the golden “V,” and is customizable with the owner’s initials.
