PETALING JAYA: Six Bersatu MPs and Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman have signed a Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) with the Madani government, pledging their support for Budget 2027 and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s administration until the end of the current parliamentary term.

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the agreement would also ensure that the party’s MPs received the same constituency development allocations as government backbenchers.

He said the six Bersatu MPs had agreed to support the Supply Bill 2027, which is currently being debated in Parliament, in exchange for the allocations.

“The agreement also covers institutional reforms, including proposals to limit the Prime Minister’s tenure to two terms and separate the powers of the Attorney-General,” he told reporters after the signing ceremony at Parliament today.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Anwar’s senior political adviser Tengku Zafrul Aziz, Muhyiddin and Syed Saddiq.

Those representing Bersatu were Muhyiddin (Pagoh), Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin (Putrajaya), Ali Biju (Saratok), Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah (Langkawi), Nazri Abu Hassan (Merbok) and Azman Nasrudin (Padang Serai).

The deal was also signed by six former Bersatu MPs who were sacked by the party in 2024 after declaring their support for the government.

On Thursday, Anwar told the Dewan Rakyat that opposition MPs could receive constituency allocations through a CSA, similar to the agreement signed under former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob when Anwar was opposition leader.
