IPOH: Six climbers who participated in the Trans Gerah Expedition in Gunung Gerah, Kelantan, who were found safe yesterday after being reported missing while climbing the mountain on August 29, have safely left Pos Kemar this morning.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Datuk Sayani Saidon said Wan Ahmad Aslam Wan Zairudin, 39, and his wife Siti Zulaiha Norizan, 39, as well as children Diya Raisha, 13, and Ahmad Raef, 9, as well as two mountain guides Shafiee Sidek, 49, and Hazman Mamat, 43, left Pos Kemar at 8.30 this morning and arrived at Trojan Jetty, Tasik Banding at 10.20 am.

“All the victims and the SAR (search and rescue) team arrived safely at Pos Kemar at approximately 9.15pm last night. All the victims underwent a health check-up by medical officers at the Pos Kemar Health Clinic and rested at the facility.

“They were then taken to the Gerik IPD by police for documentation and further action,” he said in a statement here.
