
LAHAD DATU: Members of the public found human skeletal remains in a drainage area along the hillside of Taman Pertama 1, here, on Tuesday.
District Acting Police Chief, Superintendent Jimmy Panyau said police were informed about the discovery at 10.53am.
He said there is no indication of the victim’s identity and the skeleton had been sent to the Forensic Department of Lahad Datu hospital for further action.
At press time, the case was classified as sudden death. “Those who have information or lost family members are advised to provide information or make a report at the nearest police station to facilitate the investigation.

Jimmy also reminds the public to refrain from making any speculations on social media out of profound respect for victim’s family members as well as not to disrupt police investigation.
