KOTA KINABALU: SKG Green Sdn Bhd drew strong public interest during the recent World Orangutan Day 2025 celebration at Zoo Taiping, Perak, showcasing its conservation work in the Sungai Pin Conservation Area (SPnCA), Kinabatangan.

A key highlight was the canopy bridge initiative, enabling orangutans and other arboreal wildlife to move safely between fragmented forest patches.

The effort benefits an estimated 55 orangutans across the 2,632-hectare SPnCA and forms part of the Orangutan Diplomacy Programme led by MPOGCF.

Senior Manager for Conservation and Biodiversity, Charis Saliun, said the initiative reflects meaningful collaboration between government, industry and conservation partners to protect biodiversity and keep Sabah’s natural heritage thriving.
