SOGCE 2026 draws 300 delegates, 90 exhibitors

Kota Kinabalu: The 13th Sabah Oil, Gas & Energy Conference & Exhibition (SOGCE) 2026 attracted about 300 delegates, 90 exhibiting companies and more than 40 speakers and moderators, reflecting Sabah's growing role in the regional energy sector.

Organising chairperson Dolly Jimayol said the strong participation demonstrated continued industry confidence in Sabah's energy potential and its strategic importance in supporting regional growth, with the event bringing together government representatives, diplomats, industry leaders, investors, academics, exhibitors, sponsors and media representatives.

Officiating the opening ceremony at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister cum Works and Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam launched the conference, while Dolly said SOGCE has grown into one of Sabah's leading energy platforms since its inception in 2012.

She said participants over the next two days would discuss energy security, energy transition, innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, talent development and investment opportunities, while initiatives such as the Future Leaders' Hub, Energy4Me and the Energy Career Aspirations Networking Series continue to encourage greater youth participation in the energy industry.

Dolly also thanked the Sabah Government, Petronas, sponsors and strategic partners for their continued support before announcing that the 14th Sabah Oil, Gas & Energy Conference & Exhibition (SOGCE) 2027 will be held on June 24 and 25, 2027.
