MANILA, Philippines — Opposite spiker Alyssa Solomon will not be seen in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) for now.
This came after the former National University standout officially withdrew from the PVL Rookie Draft scheduled on June 3. Solomon’s management later confirmed her decision to skip the draft.
Instead, Solomon will focus on representing the national team, which is set to compete in various international tournaments.
“Alyssa Solomon joins the National Team, withdraws from 2026 PVL Draft,” according to a post by Hustle and Groove Management, the agency handling Solomon.
Solomon had been widely expected to go No. 1 overall in the draft, drawing significant attention from fans and teams alike.
She even participated in the PVL Draft Combine, where multiple squads closely monitored her performance, including Galeries Tower Highrisers, which owns the top overall pick. TMT
