Operations have been suspended at Tehran's Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini international airports following Israeli attacks overnight, Iranian state media reported on Monday.

Flight traffic has also been halted across all airports in the west of the country, including in the city of Kermanshah where air defences have been activated to intercept hostile projectiles, the Fars news agency reported.

No one was killed or injured in Israeli attacks on the northern city of Tabriz, state news agency IRNA reported.

It was not possible to independently verify the claims.

Iran launched missiles at Israel on Sunday evening for the first time in months, in response to Israeli attacks on Beirut.

Israel responded by attacking several Iranian regions overnight, saying Iranian strikes targeting Israel continued on Monday morning.
