Southampton manager Nathan Jones admitted he was happy with the conversations he had with the club's owners.
The Welshman was in a spot of bother after struggling with life at the club, losing his first four Premier League games.
He has since won three matches in all competitions, but the team is still at the bottom of the table.
“It was nice considering where we were 10 days ago. Very nice," he stated, per Daily Echo.
“But that's my natural response.
“Anyone who knows me and knows the rapport I have with my fans and how I build and how I go about it. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm very passionate about what I do but I'm also very driven."
Jones added: “I've had to batten down the hatches this week from some criticism, some fair and some ridiculous. I'm really pleased with how we've reacted as a football club this weekend and that's everyone from the owners and everyone."
