The World Cup could be over for Spain forward Yeremy Pino after the 23-year-old due to an injury, coach Luis de La Fuente said.
Pino came on as a substitute in the 66th minute of the 1-0 win against Uruguay, which secured Spain a spot in the knock-out stage on Friday.
But in the closing minutes, he had to lie on the pitch with an expression of pain on his face.
He managed to finish the game but De la Fuente said after the match: "He has an injury that could force him to miss the (rest of) the World Cup)."
Pino is set to undergo a thorough examination. De la Fuente went on to say that he is in a great deal of pain.
"Unfortunately, it could be a collarbone injury. We'll have to wait and see."
The coach praised Pino for his "heroic performance" in playing through the game: "I'm very grateful to him, and his team-mates are even more so."
Spain are through as Group H winners and will face either Austria or Algeria in the round of 32 on Thursday.
