Kota Kinabalu: All 202 branches of 99 Speed Mart minimarts in Sabah are offering up to 30 per cent off for necessities under the Rahmah Raya Sale.
Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Ministry’s Sabah Director Georgie Abas said the offer will be carried out until April 22.
The sale applies to as many as 35 items such as rice, flour, water drinks, mini ketupats, cordials, 5kg cooking oil, butter, raya biscuits and so on.
“It’s worthwhile and affordable for all Sabahans and benefits the underprivileged all throughout the month of Ramadan and upcoming Syawal.
“KPDN remains committed to ensuring that all Sabah citizens are protected and not burdened with the increasing cost of living in these challenging and uncertain times.
“We sincerely hope that efforts like this can attract consumers, especially from the low-income group,” he said.
He added that more Sabah industry players should follow Speed Mart’s example and be a part of the Rahmah umbrella initiative which will always be supported by the KPDN.
Georgie said this after surveying a few Speed Marts in the city here on Monday.
Also present were 99 Speed Mart (East Malaysia) General Manager Foo Meng Keet and Senior Manager Branches Operation Lim Yu Kiun.
