Tottenham are moving to trump Barcelona to signing of Djurgarden midfielder Lucas Bergvall.
The teen is said to be on his way to Barca this week.
But Sky Sports pundit Michael Bridge reports that Tottenham are entering the tug of war.
It is new Spurs sporting director Johan Lange who is pushing to sign the Swede.
Tottenham want to register Bergvall with their academy, so the plan would not be to slot him into the senior team right away.
Bergvall has a contract with Djurgrden to 2025.
