LABUAN: PAS here has made a police report objecting to the scheduled performance of famed Singaporean stand-up comedian Kumar here and called for its cancellation.
Its Chief Hamir Zahari, who was accompanied by five others, said he had been informed by the Labuan Corporation Licensing Unit that no permit had been issued for the “concert”.
The comedian is well received internationally and there have been no protests or forced cancellation of his shows previously in Sabah, Sarawak or peninsula. This makes Labuan the only place in Malaysia objecting to his show, if the protest is allowed.
