KOTA KINABALU: Parti Solidariti Tanahairku (Star) has acknowledged Parti Bersatu Sabah’s (PBS) offer to lead the election machinery for five former Star assemblymen who remain under Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

Star information chief Anuar Ghani (pic) said the party respects the decision of the five incumbents but noted that its political struggle has never been about individuals.

He said Star’s core mission of championing “Sabah for Sabahans” continues to guide its grassroots and movement for political and economic self-determination.

Interim division leaders have been appointed in all five affected constituencies to mobilise Star’s campaign efforts and uphold the party’s integrity and unity.

Anuar added that Star remains firm in contesting alongside its allies to restore Sabah’s political autonomy and respond to the delegates’ call at the PBS-Star Convention for GRS to stand on its own.
