- Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola has revealed he experienced a “crippling” eating disorder early in his career.
- Coppola explained that he struggled with body image while performing in dance competitions, where his physical appearance was repeatedly judged, with the professional dancer saying he was bulimic for a period.
- Speaking to The Sun, Coppola said that his disorder reached its peak when he collapsed during a dance competition, adding: “You push yourself but being strong means stepping away from a situation that is toxic and is damaging you. I’ve never gone back.”
- The Italian dancer is set to return for Strictly's 24th series in September, having appeared on the show since 2022.
- Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will be taking over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly as the show’s new presenters.
