AC Milan have announced the signing of striker Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year-deal.
The 25-year-old spent the last three seasons with the French champions and scored 45 times in 131 appearances, helping the club to back-to-back Champions League titles among 12 titles he won at the club.
Ramos becomes new boss Ruben Amorim’s first signing of the summer since he joined the club earlier this month.
Ramos has made the switch to San Siro for a reported fee of €74 million ($84.4 million) which means the club has smashed their transfer record previously set by Rafael Leao who arrived from Lille for €49.5 million.
The Portuguese international is currently on international duty at the World Cup but has only featured in one of their three games at the tournament so far which came in Portugal’s 1-1 draw with DR Congo in their opening group match.
PSG announced Ramos’ exit in a statement on their website which read: “Paris Saint-Germain thanks Gonçalo Ramos for his professionalism, his commitment and his contribution to the club’s recent success, and wishes him all the very best for the rest of his career.”
