LAHAD DATU: Police arrested a Filipino in his 20s and seized 51.40gm of drugs in an operation at Jalan Bunga Raya, here, on Monday.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said during the operation, a suspicious man was spotted sitting on a motorcycle at the roadside.
An inspection of the suspect found a plastic packet containing drugs believed to be syabu in a cigarette box kept inside his waist bag.
The suspect, who works as a labourer, also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
During interrogation, the suspect told the police that he obtained the supply from a man identified as “Cambang”, living in Kampung Puyut.
“The case will be investigated under Section 39B and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952,” said Dzulbaharin.
