
A tahfiz student in Kajang was allegedly beaten by three fellow students, suffering bruises and swelling, with police investigating under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
KUALA LUMPUR: A tahfiz student has reported being assaulted by three fellow students at a religious centre in Kajang.
The alleged incident occurred around 12.30 am on Jan 18, leaving the victim with bruises and swelling on both hands.
Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof confirmed a police report was lodged last Monday.
“The police have confirmed that they have received a police report on the case, and are investigating the case under Section 323 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement.
Section 323 pertains to voluntarily causing hurt.
Naazron urged anyone with information to assist the investigation by contacting the nearest police station.
