MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Spokesman Jay Tarriela demands Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan to apologize from his earlier statement that China can “easily win” if they choose to use force.
In an interview on Monday, The Manila Times asked if he supports the calls of lawmakers for Jing to be declared persona non grata, Tarriela said he leaves the decision up to the Department of Foreign Affairs to decide the appropriate measures for Jing’s statement, but maintains that he should apologize.
