Bloom Laboratories, Co. introduced its inaugural supplement duo, Boost and Calm, during a wellness-focused launch that brought together Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), modern health practices, movement and mindful living.
The launch centered on the three founders’ effort to bring traditional wellness practices into everyday routines. Bloom Laboratories was founded by Bea Bautista, Barbara Tiu and Bernice Tiu, whose backgrounds span public relations, food and beverage, and hospitality.
The women said the idea for the products grew from their own experiences with TCM-inspired wellness and their desire to create something simple enough to incorporate into busy schedules.
The products are designed around the demands of a busy schedule.
“I take the Boost in the morning just to make sure that whatever comes in is going to be handled at the best capacity that I have, and maybe a little bit slightly more patience, because I’m not lacking energy that day,” Bernice Tiu said.
She also described using Calm at night when her mind remains active after a busy day.
According to material provided by the company, Boost is formulated with quercetin, resveratrol and curcumin and is intended as a daytime supplement, while Calm contains reishi mushroom and is intended for nighttime use. The company said the products are manufactured in facilities approved by the FDA and Department of Health, with production guided by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
Bloom Laboratories also consulted health and wellness experts in developing the products, including TCM practitioners and medical professionals.
During the event, TCM practitioner Dr. Francisco “Kit” Navarro discussed immunity through the TCM perspective. He also explained that TCM is not limited to treating illness after it develops.
“Traditional Chinese medicine Chinese medicine has a very strong preventive aspect to it,” Navarro said.
The founders said the launch reflects Bloom Laboratories’ approach of combining Eastern wellness traditions with contemporary health practices.
“We really value not just the Eastern philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine, but of course also modern medicine,” Bautista said.
Bloom Laboratories said Boost and Calm are available through its TikTok Shop, and soon on Shopee.
