
TELUPID: The construction of the Telupid Tamu Desa is nearly 90 per cent complete.
The Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Kuskop), Datuk Ewon Benedick, said once completed, the Tamu Desa is expected to provide the best facilities for the traders in the village.
Advertisement“This Tamu Desa was introduced for the first time last year through budget allocations provided for its implementation in Sabah and Sarawak.
“This year, through the 2025 budget, we will continue the construction of the Tamu Desa and open it in areas identified for the convenience of the traders.”

AdvertisementIn another development, Ewon said the request from market traders, shop owners and local leaders for the need to open another banking service in Telupid will be forwarded to the relevant parties.
Ewon explained that his office hoped that Bank Rakyat, among others, will evaluate the need to open a branch in the district. It is expected to benefit market traders, small entrepreneurs and shopkeepers, among others, which will also provide added value to the surrounding areas.
