Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is confident maintaining control of transfers.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to take charge of the football department, the move will include a new transfers committee.

Ratcliffe's purchase of 25 per cent of the club is expected to be confirmed before the January market.

The Telegraph says, however, Ten Hag expects the current structure, whereby both the manager and recruitment department have a veto on transfers will remain.

It should mean only players approved by both parties can continue to be signed.
