OVERJOYED Malaysian Formula 1 fans have taken to social media to thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after securing special ‘Tiket MADANI’ to attend all three days of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit.
The special tickets, priced from RM200 for MyKad holders, cover the three-day event from Oct 2 to 4.
One of the most widely shared posts on Threads came from user @likelya, who wrote: “Thank you, PMX, for creating the MADANI concept!!!!! OP81, can’t wait to see youuuuuuuuu,” referring to Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri.
Another user, @fxrith90, said they had successfully secured a MADANI ticket for the G Hillstand at 9.14am.
“Alhamdulillah, secured my F1 MADANI G Hillstand ticket at 9.14am today. I can sleep soundly now and live my life in peace. The last time I went was for the first F1 race at Sepang in 1999, when my father took me. Thank you, PMX!” the user wrote.
Another user, @faizsyazafauzi, joined the trend with the tongue-in-cheek comment: “terima kasih kerajaan mamdami,” drawing hundreds of reactions from other Malaysian F1 fans.
Today, Anwar announced that Malaysians holding MyKad will be able to attend all three days of Formula 1’s return to Sepang through special Tiket Madani priced from RM200.
He said the initiative would give more Malaysians the opportunity to experience Formula 1 in person when the race returns to Sepang in October.
