Aaron Rodgers may be 42 years old, but the legendary quarterback insists he still has a very simple reason for staying in great shape.

The four-time NFL MVP has spent more than two decades in the league and continues to maintain elite physical conditioning well into his forties.

Now Rodgers has revealed the brutally honest motivation behind that commitment.

Aaron Rodgers reveals blunt reason he stays in shape

Dov Kleiman on X shared a clip of Rodgers explaining why he still works hard to keep himself in top condition.

“I want to look good, I want my wife to f___ m_ all the time,” Rodgers said.

The comment instantly went viral online because of how direct Rodgers was about his motivation.

Rodgers made the remark during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show while discussing life at 42 and how maintaining fitness becomes more challenging with age.

Despite entering the later stages of his career, the veteran quarterback has continued to train intensely to keep his body ready both for football and life beyond the sport.

Will Aaron Rodgers return for the 2026 NFL season?

While Rodgers’ off-field comments grabbed headlines, his football future remains one of the biggest questions heading into the next NFL season.

The veteran quarterback played the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal and is now weighing whether to return for a 22nd season or finally retire.

Rodgers threw for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions during that campaign as Pittsburgh finished 10–7 and reached the playoffs.

However, Rodgers recently revealed there has been no contract offer yet as he continues to consider his options this offseason.

That uncertainty means the decision ultimately rests with Rodgers himself as he weighs whether he still wants to continue playing into his mid-forties.
