The Queue remains one of the clearest ways to get on-day tickets for Wimbledon in 2026, but visitors need to understand the rules before travelling.
Fans can still buy limited Show Court and Grounds tickets on the day, which keeps one of tennis’s most recognisable traditions alive.
The key detail is simple. The Queue opens at 2pm on Sunday 28 June 2026, and visitors have been told not to arrive before that time.
How The Queue works for Wimbledon 2026 tickets
On-day tickets are sold one per person and are non-transferable. Visitors should download the Wimbledon app and create a myWIMBLEDON account before attending.
That account is required to purchase a ticket and will be scanned at the point of sale. Everyone joining The Queue is issued with a dated and numbered Queue card.
The card is needed to buy a ticket, but it does not guarantee entry. If The Queue reaches capacity, no further Queue cards will be handed out.
For Show Courts, the daily allocation is clear. There are 500 tickets for Centre Court, No.1 Court and No.2 Court on days when those courts are in play.
Centre Court tickets are not available through The Queue for the final four days. Grounds Passes provide access to courts including No.3 Court, Court 12 and Court 18, plus The Hill.
Key Wimbledon Queue rules, timings and practical advice
The Queue starts in Wimbledon Park, a short walk from Southfields station. The Wimbledon Park Road main entrance is open 24 hours a day.
Revelstoke Road and Home Park Road pedestrian gates open from 6.30am to 10pm. The Grounds open daily at 10am.
Overnight queuers are woken at 6am to pack camping equipment. Wristbands for Show Court tickets are issued from 7.30am, starting at the front of The Queue.
Only two-person tents are permitted. Gazebos, barbecues, camping stoves and fires are banned, while temporary absences from The Queue should not exceed 30 minutes.
Left luggage opens at 5.30am and closes one hour after play ends. Overnight equipment costs £5 to store, other items cost £1, and ticket purchases are credit or debit card only.
The safest approach is to check the live Queue status before travelling. A Queue card is a place in line, not a ticket.
