MANILA, Philippines — Defending champion TNT put on a dominant effort before holding off NLEX’s fourth quarter rally to boot out the top seed Road Warriors, 118-112 and advance to the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup semifinals on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Bol Bol dropped 35 points and 13 rebounds, Roger Pogoy had 21 while Calvin Oftana 20 as the trio tormented NLEX no end.
The Tropang 5G shot 57 percent, and held a 29-17 advantage in bench points en route to putting a swift end to the Road Warriors’ semifinal ambition.
TNT will face Meralco in the best-of-seven semifinal series starting next Wednesday.
Cady Lalanne led NLEX with 46 points and 15 rebounds, Schonny Winston 24 while Robert Bolick had 16 and six assists.
