It is expected to remain east of Aurora before weakening into a low pressure area on Wednesday, August 5. It may cross parts of mid-Northern Luzon Monday night or early Tuesday.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains hoisted in central and eastern portions of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, eastern and southern portions of Apayao, eastern portion of Kalinga, eastern portion Mountain Province, eastern portion of Ifugao, northern part of Aurora, Polillo Islands, and northern portion of Camarines Norte.

La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales and Bataan may experience heavy to intense rains today and Tuesday.

Metro Manila and nearby provinces are  expected to have moderate to heavy rains beginning on Tuesday as the southwest monsoon is enhanced by “Luis.”

Pagasa advised residents in affected areas to stay alert for possible flooding and rain-induced landslides.
