The Gurugram police arrested two persons for allegedly killing former NSG commando Sundar, alias Fauji, last week in Kasan village.

The deceased was serving jail for the murder of the former village sarpanch Bahadur and was out on parole for the wedding of his niece.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Gulshan, alias Gullu, alias Ganesh (20), and Kartik Chauhan, alias Chhota Rohan (20), both residents of Kasan village in Gurugram district.

Two illegal pistols used in crime have been recovered from their possession. The main accused, Kartik Chauhan, alias Chhota Rohan, works at a water supply plant in Gurugram.

“During interrogation, Kartik revealed that in 2018, his father Bahadur was murdered by Sundar, who was serving a life sentence. On March 29, Sunder came to his village on parole for the wedding of his niece. In order to avenge his father’s murder, Kartik, along with his friend Gulshan, alias Gullu, alias Ganesh, committed the murder. We are questioning the accused,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police.

Sundar went for a morning walk on April 30. On his way back, he sat outside Chauhan Boot House where two men approached him and suddenly pulled out pistols and started firing at him around 8:30 am. An FIR was registered at Manesar police station.
