
Two persons were killed and 16 others suffered injuries in a road accident on National Highway 152-D near Mahendragarh on Friday morning.
The mishap took place when a tourist bus heading from Manali towards Jaipur collided with a truck near Buchawas village in Mahendragarh district.
Bus driver Sombir and conductor Dilsukh, both residents of Rajasthan, were killed. The injured were rushed to the Mahendragarh Civil Hospital with the help of locals.
Mahendragarh Deputy Commissioner Anupama Anjali visited the civil hospital and enquired about the well-being of injured passengers.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Deepak visited the mishap site and also met the injured at the hospital.
He said the matter was being examined from all angles and the statements of the injured persons were being recorded.
“The person(s) responsible for the accident will be arrested soon,” he said.
A case under Sections 106, 125(a) and 281 of the BNS has been registered against an unidentified truck driver on the basis of a complaint lodged by Mukesh, elder brother of the deceased driver.
