U Mobile has officially rolled out the new ULTRA5G line of mobile packages, focusing on delivering speed, reliability, and security rather than just throwing bigger data numbers around.
With this release, you’re looking at uncapped speeds, a new ULTRA prepaid SIM pack at RM10 with unlimited data, calls, and hotspot, and data plans going up to 500GB, but the more interesting bit is this ULTRA5G Priority Pass feature, which lets users basically “cut the line” and get prioritised network access during congested situations like concerts or big events, with on-demand passes starting from RM2.
Meanwhile, postpaid options take things further by scaling up to 1,000GB of data and adding 15GB of global roaming at no extra cost, which is nice for frequent travellers, while also bundling in priority pass access depending on the plan tier. And for families, the ULTRA Family 128 plan stands out with shared lines, shared data, roaming perks, and monthly priority passes all in one package.
Security is also baked in across both prepaid and postpaid, covering things like phishing SMS, scam calls, and risky websites at the network level, while higher-tier postpaid users can opt for more advanced protection that includes identity theft coverage and even cyber fraud insurance.
There are also ecosystem touches like ULTRA WatchShare now supporting Apple Watch alongside Samsung and Huawei wearables, plus a Buy 1 Free 1 5G phone offer tied to certain plans, which feels like a push to get more users into its device ecosystem quickly.
To lower the barrier to entry, U Mobile is offering a 7-day trial with 10GB of 5G data and free calls via eSIM-compatible devices, allowing a quick network test before committing.
As for ULTRA Business plans, one can find more data caps of up to 2,000GB, built-in network-level security without extra software, and premium roaming across 60 destinations using top-tier network partners, while also bundling in devices to reduce upfront costs for businesses.
