MANILA, Philippines — The UST Golden Tigresses growled back to the win column after frustrating the UP Fighting Maroons, 16-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-20, in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Wednesday.
Bouncing back from their straight sets loss to the Adamson Lady Falcons last Saturday, the Tigresses improved to 3-3 and dragged the Maroons to the same record.
UST and UP are now tied with the Adamson in fourth place.
Angge Poyos powered UST with 24 points, seven excellent digs, and six receptions, as Regina Jurado aided her with 16 points and three digs.
Niña Ytang banged 14 points to pace UP which suffered its second straight loss.
