Ukraine is receiving a first military aid payment of €3.9 billion ($4.4 billion) from the European Union's support loan for Kiev with an overall volume of €90 billion.
Tuesday's disbursement is earmarked for drone procurement, the European Commission said.
The EU loan was set up earlier this year and foresees €60 billion in military aid and €30 billion for budgetary support for the years 2026 and 2027.
The money is meant to allow Ukraine to continue its defence against Russia's invasion and to prevent the country from going bankrupt.
"These investments will help Ukraine protect its citizens, defend its sovereignty, and reinforce Europe's security," said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a statement.
"Europe stands firmly with Ukraine for as long it takes to achieve a just and lasting peace," she said.
Last week Ukraine received a first payment worth €3.2 billion as budgetary support.
