KUALA LUMPUR- Despite the storms in the 15th General Election (GE15), Umno future is still bright.
Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the attendance of about 3,000 delegates at the 2022 Umno General Assembly (PAU) showed that Umno still had steadfast support nationwide.
"This party still has a bright future.
“Scanning through their faces, I can feel that this party is still backed up by grassroots leaders who are sincere. Ultimately, it comes back to responsibility.
"If you seek to find the reason for GE15 defeat, we are the cause. If someone is to be blamed, we are the ones guilty. If we want to rebuild, we are the constructor.
"I closely follow the essence of the wings’ speeches.
“Despite the political tsunami, we are still loyal under Umno’s roof," he said while delivering the President's policy speech during the PAU held at the Kuala Lumpur World Centre here today.
