Deniz Undav should start for Germany in their World Cup opener against Curaçao instead of Jamal Musiala, top TV pundits Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Müller said on Thursday.

Former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool coach Klopp told broadcaster Magenta: "We put Undav into the equation because he can play as a number 10."

Müller, a 2014 World Cup winner with Germany, added: "If everyone is fit, I see Undav as an excellent option. He simply has a nose for it. I've become fixated on this Undav idea."

Bayern Munich playmaker Musiala has struggled to find his best form since breaking his leg last July and has completed few matches.
