PUTATAN: Special Committee for Federal Government Project Intervention, Monitoring, and Coordination chairman Datuk Ewon Benedick (pic) has pledged to prioritise reducing Sabah’s poverty rate and expediting over 400 delayed Federal projects in the State.

Ewon, also Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister, said Sabah remains one of Malaysia's poorest states, with many Federal projects stalling since the 11th Malaysia Plan, citing issues like land disputes and rising costs as key challenges.

He has initiated monthly meetings as chairman of a federal project monitoring committee to accelerate progress, taking his responsibilities seriously as a minister from Sabah.
