KUNAK: The upgrading project for Jalan Kadazan Mostyn spanning over two kilometres, here, has been approved under the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12).
The project, which involves upgrading the gravel road to asphalt, has been included in the Rural Road Project development plan but is still awaiting implementation.
In a brief message to Daily Express on Wednesday, an official source confirmed that the project, approved under the RMK-12, is currently in the consultant appointment stage before execution can begin.
On Tuesday, Daily Express reported appeals from the local community, particularly villagers who rely on the road, urging for immediate upgrades as it serves as an important access to Pekan Kunak and surrounding areas.
