US cricketer hit with huge ban after being found guilty of match-fixing

  • USA international cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy has received an eight-year ban from all cricket after an ICC tribunal found him guilty of three anti-corruption charges.
  • The charges stem from incidents that occurred during the Abu Dhabi T10 2025 league, for which the ICC acted as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official.
  • Reddy was found guilty of attempting to fix or improperly influence matches, as well as trying to induce another player to engage in similar activities.
  • A further charge against Reddy involved obstructing the investigation by deleting data and messages from a mobile device that were relevant to the inquiry.
  • The ban is backdated to 21 November 2025, the date when Reddy was provisionally suspended from the sport.
