MANILA, Philippines — The UST Golden Tigresses powered their Final Four bid in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament after denying the FEU Lady Tamaraws anew, 25-17, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, at their home lair Quadricentennial Pavilion Sunday, March 29.
UST improved to 6-4 to forge a 3-way tie with Adamson and FEU in third to fifth places.
The Lady Falcons occupy the third place, though, having the superior 19 points against the Tigresses and the Lady Tamaraws who both have 18.
FEU holds a higher set ratio than UST (1.40 to 1.33), so the former is fourth and the latter is fifth.
Angge Poyos banged 18 points and logged seven digs and five excellent receptions to lead the Tigresses, who swept their season-series against the Lady Tamaraws.
