MANILA, Philippines — The NU Lady Bulldogs climbed back to second place in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball standings after booting out the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 25-19, 25-16, 25-15, at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion Saturday.

Arah Panique logged 12 points on top of five digs  to lead the defending champs, who bounced back from their 5-set loss to the FEU Lady Tamaraws last Sunday and rose to 7-3.

NU overtook the 6-3 FEU for the meantime, and took Ateneo out of Final Four contention.

The Blue Eagles dropped to 1-9, joining the UE Lady Warriors (0-10) for the first two teams to bomb out of semis contention this season.
