Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is set to kickoff his coaching career at Derby County.
Rooney will begin his coaching career at Derby County this week but is unable to play until January 1st.
After leaving DC United in the MLS, England's record goalscorer has signed an 18-month deal as a player-coach at Pride Park and he will begin his coaching role today, says The Times.
Rooney and his wife Coleen have recently been on holiday in Dubai before the former Manchester United striker begins his new role.
Derby will be hoping he can spark them into life after an underwhelming start to their Championship campaign. Phillip Cocu's side are 11th having began the season as promotion candidates.
