• The 53-year-old walked on screen while presenter Molly Brewer was reporting on an upcoming yellow weather warning.
• Kay, who had been a guest on the programme, sat down and said: “Go on Molly, I’ll sit here, I’ll not disturb you.”
• Presenter Molly Brewer handed Kay her clicker, allowing him to control the on-screen graphics during the segment.
