- Comedian Peter Kay gatecrashed a live weather forecast on BBC North West Tonight on Wednesday 26 August.
- The 53-year-old walked on screen while presenter Molly Brewer was reporting on an upcoming yellow weather warning.
- Kay, who had been a guest on the programme, sat down and said: “Go on Molly, I’ll sit here, I’ll not disturb you.”
- Presenter Molly Brewer handed Kay her clicker, allowing him to control the on-screen graphics during the segment.
- Kay previously interrupted the late Dianne Oxberry’s report as she was presenting the forecast for BBC North West Tonight in 2011.
