At Watches & Wonders 2025, Cartier unveiled a selection of novelties from Tank Louis Cartier to the Panthère de Cartier.

Cartier returned to the Watches & Wonders stage once again this year, introducing a myriad of exceptional and radiant novelties. At Watches & Wonders 2025 in Palexpo, Geneva, the Maison marches on with its watchmaking journey — showcasing unparalleled craftsmanship and the beauty of metamorphosis in timepieces. At the core of Cartier’s watchmaking is reinvention, with shapes and materials transformed with brilliant savoir-faire. Ultimately, emotions are stirred with designs that feel and look like magic.

On the watches, Louis Ferla (President and CEO, Cartier SA) said: “Magic is at the heart of Cartier’s watchmaking vision. By drawing on the singular expertise of the Maison’s craftsmen, who transform stones and metal into precious objects, Cartier creates exceptional watches. A watchmaker of shapes, Cartier has reimagined its rich heritage of signature creations and reinterpreted its stylistic codes with ever greater creativity and virtuosity.”

Now, let’s take a look at some of the stunning novelties — some updated, some new — showcased by Cartier at Watches & Wonders 2025!

Tank Louis Cartier

The Tank Louis Cartier is now reimagined with calibre 1899 MC and thus, making it a timepiece with automatic movement. At Watches & Wonders 2025, the Maison unveiled two models: yellow gold with semi-matte grey alligator leather strap as well as rose gold with semi-matte brown alligator leather strap. Both timepieces come equipped with flinqué dial and blued-steel sword-shaped hands. The Tank series has seen tremendous evolution since its inception like Tank Américaine and Tank Chinoise. Hence, changes and updates have always been in its DNA. The Tank Louis Cartier watch is classic, singular and undoubtedly, one of Cartier’s most beloved icons.

Cartier Privé – Tank à Guichets

The Tank à Guichets was introduced six years after Louis Cartier launched Tank Louis Cartier. According to the Maison’s Image, Style and Heritage Director, Pierre Rainero, the creation of the Tank à Guichets came about with the ambition to simplify the Tank Louis Cartier. “Time is revealed solely through two minimal openings, with the traditional dial replaced by a streamlined, all-gold case defined by clean lines and perfect proportions. A jumping hour mechanism and a dragging minute display embody Cartier’s commitment to refined watchmaking, where technical mastery always serves aesthetic excellence,” Rainero said. Part of the Cartier Privé collection, the Tank à Guichets comes with digital time display and 9755 MC movement. With the latter, the timepiece benefits from an exclusive calibre.

As revealed at Watches & Wonder 2025, the Tank à Guichets timepiece is available in two aesthetics. Firstly, there’s the one re-designed based on the 1928 look. Introduced in platinum, rose gold and yellow gold, this variant’s 6 o’clock has the minute aperture whereas the 12 o’clock contains the hour aperture. Secondly, there’s the limited edition platinum option with only 200 pieces available. The watches are fitted with Arabic numerals as well as varying leather straps depending on design ranging from burgundy alligator leather strap and dark grey alligator leather strap to green alligator leather strap and black alligator leather strap.

Tressage

Think of the Tressage watches like sculptural works of art. Imbued with the same precious spirit behind icons such as Reflection, Coussin and Maillon, the Tressage timepieces are spectacular both on the eyes and on the wrist. A variety of materials and styles come together in the crafting of these masterpieces such as leather for the shiny strap and snow-set diamonds. Dynamism is truly at play as Cartier presented four different variations. One of them, designed in both yellow gold and white gold, is made using 466 brilliant-cut diamonds, beige calfskin strap and white gold dial set. Apart from that, there’s also a model with navy blue calfskin strap and 330 sapphires. The Tressage watches are all about contrasts as proven by the Watches & Wonders debutants.

Cartier Jewellery Watch – Panthère Bangle

The Panthère Jewellery Watch revealed at Watches & Wonders 2025 is the Panthère Bangle — aptly described as “a piece of hybrid architecture”. It’s a ravishing look at the Maison’s artisanship, combining the realms of jewellery and matchmaking. Introduced in white gold and yellow gold versions, the Panthère Bangle is crafted using a ‘Toi & Moi’ bracelet and a three-dimensional panther. For the yellow gold watch, look closely at the 12 o’clock and you will spot a diamond alongside a diamond-paved bezel, black lacquer dial and tsavorite eyes. On the other wrist (well, hand), the white gold timepiece, which took 230 hours to complete, features 1,103 diamonds (including the dial), emerald eyes and hair-like onyx.

Panthère de Cartier

It’s not a tiger and it’s not a zebra. It’s an abstract design imagined and introduced by Cartier for the Panthère watch. Diamonds beautifully shower the bracelet of the timepiece. 398 brilliant-cut diamonds, to be specific. The rose gold-adorned Panthère de Cartier watch comes in steel sword-shaped hands, rose gold dial and 86 yellow and orange spessartites as well as golden-brown and black lacquers. Additionally, Cartier also showcased semi-paved models of the Panthère watch in rose gold and yellow gold.
