Community leader Amin Abas said he noticed the leak on Thursday evening.
He said he tried contacting the Sabah Water Department (SWD) to no avail.
“They do not even respond to my call. We do not know if it will be fixed immediately or if they would wait until after the Kaamatan holidays.

Weston previously had no problems with water supply, but the leak raises worries of water disruptions.
In Sipitang, the problem of clean water supply is perennial, causing many to be affected. The SWD is urged to resolve the matter.
A resident known as Rosli said he informed the SWD that there has been no water for two days, particularly in Kg Buang Sayang and Kg Menengah.
“We can’t stand it when the water supply is cut off but we have learned to accept this fate. The SWD needs to improve the water supply in Sipitang.
“I don’t know how those with many children can deal with this situation. The SWD has not informed why there is no water supply,” he said, hoping immediate action would be taken.
